HIVE Solar (Formerly Charge Station) was an family owned business, established in 1999 . Charge Station was involved in the distribution and retail of Auto batteries and Inverters . Both founders later retired in 2005 and 2013 respectively, replaced by two young entrepreneurs, with academic background and experience in Engineering and Business. By Early 2013 a new business plan for the future was charted and as part of the exercise, later rebranded \"Charge Station\" to \"Hive Solar\", henceforth remodelled the existing business to cater, in response to a growing public awareness of environmental issues and mounting alarm over impacts of energy costs and outrages.
