Urgent requirement for System Engineer - HIMS in Bangalore .

Job description :

- Good knowledge and proven experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux based environments. RHCE or equivalent an advantage.

- Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g.,Tomcat, JBoss, NGINX).

- Sound knowledge of administration and performance tuning of PostgreSQL/MySQL.

- Good experience around managing cloud services, preferably in AWS.

- Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtualbox).

- Experience with installation, configuration and using infrastructure and application monitoring systems.

- Good scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Python). Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible) desirable.

- Good networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).

- Knowledge of network and server security tooling an added advantage.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure across 500+ remote sites.

- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.

- Proactively monitor and ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.

- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.

- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.

- Respond to production issues on short notice and provide 2nd and 3rd level support.

- Monitor application performance and detect bottlenecks. Provide a configuration tweak in -coordination with Engineering Manager or escalate to Engineering for code level performance fixes.
