The incumbent will provide thought leadership, direction and overall governance to all IT & Infra related assignments, projects and strategy and provide oversight to a highly niche and skilled group of over forty IT professionals.

The IT & Infrastructure group at ISGN
IT at ISGN is a strategic group, reporting directly into the CEO, this group is responsible for ISGN’s data center, server operations, cloud, WAN/Network & user computing besides all other traditional infrastructure and IT operations. However the group’s real value for our organization is the support and expertise it provides to our SaaS Application Delivery and Products division. As we execute on strategies related to migrating customers from licensed software to SaaS, data center migrations, infrastructure consolidation, new customer on-boarding etc, it is the IT group that fronts these initiatives.

The Position
ISGN is currently looking for Associate Director of IT & Infrastructure to lead the division. The incumbent will provide thought leadership, direction and overall governance to all IT & Infra related assignments, projects and strategy and provide oversight to a highly niche and skilled group of over forty IT professionals. Some of the primary roles and responsibilities include;

Technical
o Benchmarking, analyzing and reporting on, and make recommendations for the continuous improvement of IT Infrastructure services operation to improve performance and efficiency
o Leading and managing a team of experts in data centre/servers, storage, cloud, WAN/network, user computing working closely with SaaS application delivery and support as well as business stakeholders to deliver IT services for SaaS Software products
o Developing and implementing all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, and technology service provision

Business
o Responsibility for overall IT P&L, budget and financial planning and tracking
o Developing cost/benefit analyses for technology initiatives/Strategic projects
o Leading the research on potential technology solutions in support of business strategy
o Identification, defining and execution of the strategic IT infrastructure projects in line organization strategy
o Working with business and application technology stakeholders to define requirements for new technology implementations
o Performing quality assurance of IT Infrastructure projects against established standards and practices
o OEM and vendor discussion on new technology refresh, procurement and taking decisions on right product/solution implementation

Leadership
o Responsibility for overall IT Infrastructure operation ,Projects and Engineering delivery
o Managing a strong team and driving them to a higher degree of performance
o Developing and delivery of KPI’s, goals and objectives of the team and organization
o Managing staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.

The Position Requirements
o A University degree in the field of engineering or information systems
o Certification in ITIL,PMP, Six sigma is preferred
o 15+ years of experience with at least a 10 years proven track record in leading an IT Infrastructure / technology team (ideally 50+ team members)
o Extensive experience in partnering and negotiating with OEM’s and vendors both in RFQ/RFP process and in deployment
o Strong technical knowledge of world leading enterprise systems especially in a highly heterogeneous environment, including technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards
o Proven experience in IT infrastructure, Cloud and SaaS services
o Strong knowledge of systems design principles, requirements specifications, standards development and practices
o Good working knowledge of ITIL, especially Systems Management practices, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 best practices and standards and how they are applied to IT
o In-depth understanding of “delivering” according to Information Security policies and procedures
o Experience working with distributed and offshore IT organizations would be advantageous, with some US financials services experience
