Job Description:rn a) Provides day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure andrn internal desktop systems software and hardware. Installs, configures andrn troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, servers and network issues in arn heterogeneous environment.rn b) Maintains passwords, data integrity and file system security for the desktoprn environmentrn c) Communicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical rn personnel. Recommends hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitionsrn and upgrades.rn May participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects.rn May conduct training programs designed to educate an organization's computer usersrn about basic and specialized applicationsrn May be internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professionalrn Services and outsourcing functions. May include company-wide, Web-enabledrn solutions.rn Remote Support Engineer is responsible for the remote deployment of apps -rn technical delivery, support and management of desktop and laptop computers, PDAs,rn printers, video conferencing facilities and application services where necessary.rn rnrnJob Role:rnrn Provide second remote level support to end users .rn Provide troubleshooting and technical support via phone, web based tools and email.rn Advise customers regarding the Thomson Reuters desktop, applications and addressrn specific user issues.rn Responsible for taking service requests or incident tickets from the helpdesk and lookrn after these request through to closure.rn Ensures that proper notification or advice related to the problem is provided to thern helpdesk or the end-user.rn During problem escalations, act as a liaison between customers and Tier 3 support.rnrn Skill:rnrn 1. Operating system knowledge.rn 2. Desktop Support knowledge is a mustrn 3. Remote Access experience is a must (Log me in, AMYY, Team Viewer)rn 4. Good communication in English.rnrn Eligibility:rnrn 1.
