Job Description

Position Overview
As a DevOps Engineer at Being Abroad, you will play a critical role in optimizing our software development lifecycle and ensuring the reliable and efficient deployment of applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, AWS cloud services, EC2, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and provide DevOps expertise throughout the development process.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds, testing, and deployments.
- Manage and monitor AWS resources, including EC2 instances, and ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement and manage containerization solutions using Kubernetes to orchestrate application deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and performance of applications.
- Implement and enforce security best practices for infrastructure and applications.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to DevOps and cloud computing.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Java development.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2.
- Strong proficiency in containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Experience with other containerization technologies (Docker, containerd).
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
- Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
