Job Description
A General Hardware Salesperson is responsible for selling a wide range of hardware products to customers. These products can include tools, building or roof materials, and other related items. Person should provide information on product features, benefits, and pricing, as well as answering any questions customers may have. Salespersons also play a vital role in maintaining inventory levels and ensuring that products are properly displayed and marketed. They may also be responsible for training other sales staff and providing feedback to management on product sales and customer trends.
Responsibilities:
• Sells hardware, such as nails, nuts, bolts, screws, roofing materials, building materials, domestic equipment’s, hand-and-power tools, garden tools, and other supplies
• Advises customer about quality of materials required, and procedure to follow to complete task customer wishes to perform including demonstration.
• Performing routine checks to ensure quality control.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Check inventory and provide the list of supplies required.
• Advising customers on best practices for hardware maintenance.
