Job Description
A Medical Representative is responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical or medical products to healthcare professionals, such as doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers. The primary goal is to build strong customer relationships, achieve sales targets, and ensure the appropriate usage of the promoted products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Promotion and Sales
• Promote and sell company products to healthcare professionals, ensuring they understand the benefits, indications, and usage of the products.
• Schedule and conduct one-on-one meetings, presentations, and discussions with medical professionals.
2. Customer Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, pharmacists, and key stakeholders in the healthcare industry.
• Address queries and concerns about the products promptly and professionally.
3. Market Analysis and Territory Management
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and monitor competitors' activities.
• Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve sales targets.
• Maintain an updated database of clients and ensure regular follow-ups.
4. Reporting and Documentation
• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales activities and market feedback.
• Document call logs, appointments, and any issues discussed with clients.
5. Training and Development
• Stay updated with the latest product knowledge, medical advancements, and competitor activities.
• Attend training sessions, conferences, and workshops as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, (preferred, but not mandatory).
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in medical sales (preferred, but not mandatory).
Skills:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Persuasive selling and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and pharmacology.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools and CRM software.
