Have knowledge of the philosophy and teaching objectives of the program;
Establish and maintain rapport with students;
Facilitate conversation circles as scheduled;
Assist classroom teacher by working with students either on an individual basis or within a small group. Check on students and offer help if needed;
Prepare and duplicate teaching aids and classroom material as required by the Literacy & Language Support Supervisor or LINC Program Manager;
Organize resources, materials, and equipment at all sites as required by the Literacy & Language Support Supervisor or LINC Program Manager;
Develop program resources under the direction of the Literacy & Language Support Supervisor or LINC Program Manager;
Assist in the preparation of program events.
