JOB DESCRIPTION:rn rnThe key responsibility is to ensure the smooth functioning of the entire ITrnsystems infrastructure in a proactive manner.rnrnrn1.To be adept at advanced Linux technologies and keep abreast with thernlatest advancements in this domainrnrn2.One should be adept at :rnThe Apache Web Server, Linux Mail Servers (Postfix, Cyrus-IMAP),rnMonitoring Server Performance, advanced MRTG For Linux, Network-rnBased Linux Installation, Linux Software RAID, Managing Disk Capacity,rnDisk Usage with Quotas, Remote Disk Access with NFS, Configuring NIS,rnCentralized Logins Using LDAP, Web Access and filtering with Squid,rnModifying the Kernel to Improve Performance, Configuring Linux VPNs,rnLTSP & Thin-client Configuration, Advanced configuration andrnoptimization of open-source databases such as MySQL / PostgreSQL,rnAdvanced backup and restore procedure, Advanced Shell Scripting andrnbasic PERL / Python scriptingrnrn3.Ability to pro actively monitor, troubleshoot and optimise deployedrnserver systemsrnrn4.Ability to perform your duties without much supervision withinrndeadlinesrnrn5.Ability to guide, mentor and delegate junior team members towardsrnadvanced Linux System administration tasksrnrnEDUCATION: rnrn1. B. Sc, B.Tech / B.E., B.Tech - Computer Sciencern2.
